Answers Resting in the MVP of All Inspiration
Developing my own understanding of the illusions of the time and space around me is held at the top of the list. It's no secret that people seek answers, it is what is done with those answers that is left to the imagination.
The moment I feel somewhat stable in my beliefs, I dream.
Dreaming is the closest to Heaven and Hell reached by this being of mine. I'm a fly on the wall to my own sanity's insanity. It cries out to my wants and electrifies my fears. As I continuously speak to the artists of my time, I come to see that dreams could be the MVP of inspirations. Dreams take what is seen/heard/felt/thought by every person and puts on a show through a bird's-eye view. It's those artist who acknowledge dreams that anticipate their days. They rush through the days anticipating the night. They sit through the night anticipating their slumber. They wake with their source for art. They create it. Complete it. The cycle begins again.
Whether it be art reflecting Heaven or Hell, it now exists. Unsure of the exact meaning of the portraits of the most feared and desired places of my teachings, I stand in awe before the work, questioning the answers each piece, song, photograph, movement, and/or voice holds. Could it be that each artist holds an answer that will forever rest under the first impressions of art?

Dark Flow
By: Karaleigh Blankenship
Dark flow
the current
something strange is happening
a mysterious unseen force pulling us along
together
apart
we don't know what's going on
can we look further?
Can we look into the dark matter before us?
You know we build potential in these shadowed corners of the globe
a snow globe in space
space in the palm of a child's hand
and we
depart with the dark flow
the current
this is tilted
from left to right
in and out
something peculiar is happening
a matter of universal acclaim
connecting
rejecting
us all.
As defined, a thought is a product of mental activity. It can reflect imagination, contemplation, anticipation, expectation, or even meditation, but it's rare to find someone who reflects on a thought enough to build on it. Karaleigh-one of the talented poets of my generation- should be and is someone respected for jotting down and continuing her thoughts in the most harmonious of ways.

In Bold Blinking Lights
I'm surrounded by art on a daily basis and I am beyond grateful. Whether it be through watching a ballet, going to an art gallery, or even going to church to enjoy a gospel choir, it's everywhere I turn.
Luckily, I've gone from art school to art school, exposing myself to the most talented of my generation.
Here are some pieces from some great artists:
Andy Cor_Sailor Zombie (2010)
Emilio Blanco_Maria (2010)
Fernando Ramos_Self Portrait (2010)

On The Pursuit Of Happiness
Inner turmoil seems to slam the breaks on every adolescent nowadays. The moment the word "no" is heard 5 times more than the word "yes" our minds go into shock. Once the disbelief has somewhat settled, we begin our pursuit of happiness.
During the most insecure moments of my unappreciated life, I had an epiphany delivered on a silver platter. I was told the story of two cats:
On an everyday morning, two cats were doing their everyday routine beside one another. Both cats knew happiness to lie in their tails. Just as any other day, the first cat was chasing his tail- the second simply walking about enjoy his environment. On an everyday afternoon the second cat couldn't help but notice the first continuously chased his tail everyday. The cat then asked "why are you chasing your tail in this furious manner?". The first cat-furiously chasing his tail- replied: "I'm chasing my happiness, why aren't you?". The second cat proceeded to suggest it's only when you stop chasing happiness that it will follow you wherever you go.
Brilliant beings suck their artistic energy and use it towards a greater evil-inner struggle. I've seen it time and time again. As opposed to depicting happiness and all things desired as something we- as human beings and artists alike- need to seek, we should apply our talents and let it come to us in the most profound of ways; through joy.
